A grounded, spacious, and safe introduction to the shamanic path.

This workshop offers a steady, safe, and supportive environment in which to explore the essentials of shamanic journeying and healing.

  • Discover what this work means for you personally, in a grounded way.

You’ll learn how to shift your awareness through rhythm and intention, how to navigate non-ordinary reality at a pace that feels right for you, and how to meet and work with compassionate helping spirits individually, in pairs, and as a group.

We’ll focus on curiosity, connection, clarity, and genuine experience rather than becoming bogged down in belief or distracted by dogma.

Whether you are completely new to shamanism or returning to reconnect with or renew your practice while engaging in community, this weekend offers sound foundations on which your own relationship with the unseen world can flourish.

This workshop is rooted in core, cross-cultural core shamanic practice.

“That which you seek to feel whole, lies unseen, seemingly out of reach, in a non-linear, non-ordinary realm of Spirit.”

What you will gain:

By the end of the weekend you’ll have:

  • a grounded understanding of the core elements of shamanic practice

  • a felt sense of how shamanic journeying uniquely unfolds for you

  • a personal connection with at least one compassionate ally teacher

  • the ability to receive in-journey insight, guidance, or symbolic information

  • experience working on your own, with a partner, and within a supportive group

  • a chance to give and receive a simple yet powerful form of shamanic healing

  • an opportunity to take part in a gentle community healing held by the group

  • greater clarity, connection, and confidence in your own inner guidance

  • simple practices you can continue exploring at home

Includes optional access to a gentle online Integration Circle held around two weeks after the workshop. This 40-minute call is a safe space to anchor your early journey experiences and ask any questions that arise as you begin practising at home.

How the weekend flows.

The weekend follows a steady rhythm with an embodied mix of learning, practice, grounding, reflection, breaks, and integration. Information is shared in simple, manageable segments so you always know what you are doing and why, which helps you relax into the experience without overthinking or overwhelm.

  • We look at the nature of the shamanic state of consciousness and its sonically driven induction, the role of intention while journeying, and how ally teachers support us. You’ll then journey individually and in pairs, with time for journalling, sharing, questions, and answers.

  • We explore simple principles behind retrieval work and how allies often support the healing process rather than acting as mere guides. After partnered retrieval practice you’ll be invited to take part in a calm, supportive community healing led by Richard.

The weekend closes with grounding, reflection, and guidance on how to continue your shamanic practice at home.

Who is this workshop for?

    • are undergoing intensive psychotherapy, crisis support, or psychiatric treatment

    • struggle to remain grounded or feel safe when entering altered states

  • This workshop is held in an environment where your comfort and wellbeing come first. Practices are rooted in rhythm, intention, focus and imagination. Shamanic drumming and rattling naturally support a light, safe shift in awareness so you can enter the journey state without strain or effort. All drumming is provided by Richard. You are not expected to drum, rattle, or perform anything.

No substances are used and nothing is done to override your autonomy. The altered state used in shamanic practice is gentle, repeatable, and entirely guided by your own intention. You stay aware, in control throughout, able to pause or stop at any time.

Shamanism is not a religion and this workshop is not tied to any belief system. People of all backgrounds and traditions are welcome. The focus is on direct experience, personal insight, and working with compassionate helping spirits in a grounded way.

This weekend does not involve mediumship, trance possession, psychedelic or entheogenic substances, or plant medicine; the work is held through rhythm, intention, imagination, and grounded shamanic journeying practice.

Care is taken to ensure consent and good boundaries are established. You won’t be pushed beyond your comfort zone. Everything about this workshop is invitational.

“Exploring the limitless requires courageously crafting your soul-vision through the crucible of life's trials and tribulations. In real-time and dream-time. Inside out to outside in, then back again. Continually surrender to the unknowable. Allow it to be realised, not forcibly by you, but powerfully through you, as its manifesting manifold.”

  • Richard Conner, also known as Ricardo Rochilez, has walked the shamanic path since 2015. His practice is rooted in immersive training, initiatory experience, and long-term apprenticeship to the unseen world. He carries the lineage of The Sacred Trust’s Three Year Professional Shamanic Practitioner Training and continues ongoing study and research in consciousness, spirituality, and transpersonal psychology with the Alef Trust and Liverpool John Moores University.

Richard works in an embodied, attentive way. His approach is shaped through deep initiations in direct relationship with helping spirits and through the necessary descent into shadow. He values both light and dark, meeting each with courage, clarity, respect, and reverence.

With a background in rebirthing breathwork and hypnotic practice, Richard creates a clear, compelling, and trauma-aware container that allows depth without overwhelm. He teaches in a way that is spacious, grounded, and rooted in real multidimensional experience.

His focus is not on building belief but on helping you cultivate your own direct relationship with Spirit. He offers guidance rather than direction, supporting the structure of the space with steadiness so what needs to be met can be met in your own way.
